Dear Marc:
I'm working on information for the bookstore
distribution in April of next year (next catalog).
I put together some rough
estimates based on memory. These are copies shipped and not
necessarily sold,
but I'm going to say "over one million copies in circulation."
Sounds
impressive?

*Note from Marc Hansen: These numbers are probably pretty accurate despite Tony's poor math (total
should be 1,139,000). However, and glaringly, he forgot to include the three issues for Volume 4 and the
five issues from Volume 5, which also had Direct Market and Newsstand sales. Even after returns, the numbers
are noteworthy. Below are my Volume 4 and 5
conservative guesses for sales:

Update: A RSA newsletter from the time quotes the Volume 3 numbers 1-3 print runs
as being 27,000, 24,000 and 40,000 respectively.
