SnarTrivia

This is it, fatheads. RSA Trivia. No fancy multimedia stuff, no scorekeeping, no scale to compare your score to other fatheads. All those things will happen someday. But it's a start. All knowledge required can be obtained from owning the issues, reading the "Rubber room gossip" and "NOW Newsflash" sections of the comic, and by owning the official RSA fan club issues. Two or three MINOR errors have been inserted for you real Snart experts to find.

Originally, Ralph Snart was known as Rodge Snarf, and later, Ralph Snarf. When NOW Comics Publisher Tony Caputo first saw Marc Hansen's portfolio, the character was known as Ralph Snarf. The name had to be changed because the name "Snarf" was in use elsewhere in the comic industry.
Do you know who (company and book) was already using the name "Snarf"?
Ralph Snart Adventures was one of the handful of titles NOW Comics published in it's very first month of publication, June, 1986. RSA would go on to become the longest running title in the history of NOW Comics.
How many original issues of Ralph Snart Adventures were published?
These issues certainly weren't published continuously though. There were many breaks in the publication of RSA, due to the financial difficulties of NOW Comics, or financial disputes between Marc Hansen and NOW Comics.
How many issues of RSA were written and drawn by other than Marc Hansen, during times of "financial disputes" between Marc Hansen and NOW?
After Marc left NOW Comics forever in 1993, NOW threatened to unveil a "new RSA" by other writers and artists (in ads in other NOW titles), but fortunately, the series was never published. Back in August 1990, NOW Comics announced a spin-off series of RSA; Mr. Lizard. However, due to financial problems, procrastination, etc., the series was never published.
Who was to be the writer of the planned Mr. Lizard Monthly series?
SOME issues of the Mr. Lizard series WERE produced, and years later released as "specials".
Can you name these issues?
NOW Comics took a hiatus from publishing from September 1990 until May 1991. During this time, Marc Hansen found work elsewhere in the comic industry with Eternity Comics, which published a three issue mini-series of a different Hansen character.
What was the name of the B&W three issue mini-series written and drawn by Marc Hansen, and published from May-July 1991, by Eternity Comics?
Where can you find portions of this series reprinted, in full color?
Originally, when NOW comics was in it's infancy, RSA was a B&W comic.
How many issue's of RSA were published in B&W?
ALL previous B&W RSA material was reprinted in full color in RSA volume 3, either as full issues or as filler material in the back of issues.
What was the first issue of RSA to be published in full color?
What was the first issue of RSA to be approved by the comics code authority?
Comics Code approval enabled NOW and RSA to get into every corner drugstore, 7-11, etc., as opposed to being an "underground" carried only in comic shops. After NOW Comics' 1990-1991 hiatus from publishing, RSA returned with the 3 issue "Mind Games" mini series.
What was unique about the cover(s) of these issues?
If "regular character" were defined as appearing in (3) or more seperate issues of RSA, there were only five regular characters in RSA.
Can you name them?

MOST of the characters to appear in RSA, made only one-time appearances (with the occasional two-time appearance). Name the following characters:

In RSA Volume 1, the crafty "used Wook" salesman.
In RSA Volume 1, a mad scientist from the future who captures Ralph, his Wook, and his other un-named traveling companion.
In RSA Volume 1, Ralph's girlfriend from the 1950's.
In RSA Volume 2, Ralph's college roomate.
In RSA Volume 2, the leather clad, masochistic, punk rock chick that Ralph "tames" in the bedroom.
In RSA Volume 2, the man who attempts to convert Ralph to a believer in the cult of the red cabbage.
In RSA Volume 2, Ralph's really mean boss, who hires Ralph as a Crunchy Cracklers Peanut salesman.
In RSA Volume 3, A beer store owner (who is later killed by thugs) who agrees to teach Ralph Karate to protect himself.
In RSA Volume 3, Ralph's superhero girlfriend.
In RSA Volume 3, Meddling penguin from the comic strip "DunesCounty" who attempts to kill Ralph for violating the comic strip character code of conduct.
In RSA Volume 3, A gullable superhero, who captures the mutated Ralph Snart.
The sidekick of the aforementioned gullable superhero.
In RSA Volume 3, Ralph's ghost-busting beer drinking pal.
In RSA Volume 3, three monsters that would rather engage in a wild orgy, than chow down tasty humans.
In RSA Volume 3, Ralph's redneck cousin, who takes Ralph camping.
In RSA Volume 4, Ralph's disgusting fat hag wife.
In RSA Volume 4, Three servants of Dr. Goot.
In RSA Volume 4, The producer of the TV show "Coppers, in which Ralph has a staring role.
In RSA Volume 4, A clairvoyant, who saves Ralph from getting his ass kicked in a bar.
In RSA Volume 4, He kicks Ralph's ass in a bar, and blackmails him with pictures of strippers in compromising positions.
In RSA Volume 5, Doomsday cult leader who recruits Ralph and Mr. Lizard for his new cult.
