RSA VOLUME 5
One year to the month after the last issue of the "Mind Games" mini-series,
RSA returned with a new series written and drawn by Marc Hansen. This series was
characterized by relatively short Ralph Snart stories complemented by other
Hansen work, including "Fid" and colorized excerpts from the "Dr. Gorpon" mini-
series (originally published by Eternity Comics in 1991). This run of RSA consisted
of issues 1-5, dated July, 1993 through November, 1993, after which Marc apparently
decided he did not want to do RSA anymore. From the "NOW newsflash" section, and
ads in other NOW titles, it is apparent RSA volume 5 was intended to be a
12 issue series.
In some later issues of other NOW Comics
titles, NOW threatened to unveil a new series of RSA (presumably done by
other writers and artists), at a time in Ralph's life where he was not insane anymore,
but NOW ceased publishing forever in 1994, and the "new" RSA was never published. It is
unknown who (if anyone) owns the rights to RSA at this time, but Hansen certainly
does not.
UPDATE: As of April, 2003, Marc Hansen regained all rights to Ralph Snart. The unpublished
issues that were to be issues six and seven have been published on his web site.
